EZ-PASS is from he!!

about 6 months ago, DH's tag went dead.

We called. The woman said she'd send a new one. I said, "okay do I send the old one back?"

She said, " I can tell from my system that your battery is dead. Just throw it in the garbage"

I said, "oh. I thought it had to be sent back"

She said, "no. just throw it away"

Now, they are converting to new tags and said that if I don't send the old one back, they are charging me $23

I called. Waited on hold for 33 (THIRTY THREE) minutes. Spoke to a rep AND his manager- both told me a million times "no one would have told you to throw it away. They have to be recycled"

So, now I am waiting for another manager to call me back because I am FURIOUS. They kept saying that I would be billed, but to write a letter of dispute and MAYBE they will remove the charge.

I DO NOT WORK FOR EZPASS. WHY DO I HAVE TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME DEALING WITH THEM????

I MIGHT AS WELL WAIT ON LINE TO PAY THE TOLL

I know.....now I'm regretting getting it. I hear it's He!! trying to get through to them.

yes, I waited on hold for 33 minutes. Only to have them make continual statements that imply I am a liar

OMG...you must have gotten the same a$$hole on the phone that I did because I was told the same thing and ended up having to pay for the "lost" tag!!

I really wish they would pay a little more and get some educted people to work at EZ-Pass!!!

DH just faxed over a very strong worded letter. I had both people's names and ID numbers.

He stated that we had 2 witnesses who overheard me offering to send back the old tag, but I was still told to throw it in the garbage.

He said that if they bill us, we will contact an attorney because of their billing practices.

And, he also said that we don't appreciate the EZ Pass agents making statements that imply we are liars.

Yeah, that other manager still hasn't called me back. I was told he would call today

they have awful customer service... i called to cancel my EZPass... they told me all i had to do was mail back the device... but i had to pay for shipping... anyway, a month later i got a bill for all these tolls that i have never driven through! i called up and told them that i had canceled my EZpass and that i never drove through those tolls ever in my life... she insinuated that i was a lier... i found my post office receipts months later and it turns out that they must have never shut my ezpass off and when it went in the mail truck back to the company, my ezpass paid for the tolls!! URGH! they still refused to refund my money!

oh i got through to them all right.. What nasty mother f%ckers onthe phone. I hate to sound so violent but they were so nasty to me and I had a simple question.. MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I suggest also going down to the EZ pass offices? It is great that you guys wrote a letter to them - but I think you're at the point where I would go there physically and make face contact with someone. They are really a bunch of idiots and on the phone they can put you on hold which usually infuriates me further.

I know how you feel. I had so much trouble closing my account with them - I mailed the EZ Pass back to them, sent them two letters requesting they close my account and faxed the letter to two different managers before it got done (this took about three months). And they still haven't refunded the money left on my account - they said a refund check needs to get approved. I told them I don't want a check - just credit my card - and that it's my money why do they need approval. They still told me it has to get approved. I can't stand them. Hang in there
