Fabric Stores??
I want to have my familys christening gown duplicated. (I'm having twins) I was wondering where the best place to buy the fabrics would be? The only place I know of is JoAnns. Would this be a good place? And are they helpful? I would like to bring the dress w/ me so I can attempt to duplicate it as much as possible. (It's 45 years old) I won't be making it myself (I didn't get my Nanas talents) Thanks in advanced for any help!

Re: Fabric Stores??
That's such a nice idea! I like JoAnns for fabric - they usually have a pretty good selection. And most of the time, I've found the people to be fairly helpful - though I guess it depends b/c some of them have had teenagers who just really don't know much about it, nor do they care about it. But, mostly, I've had good experiences there. Good luck!

Re: Fabric Stores??
Tracy, I think the garment district in NYC will have what you are looking for if Joanne's does not.
Though last time I was in Joanne's I think I saw something that was a close match.
There is also another place up here where I am told all the Hasidic woman buy their fabrics, big selection.
PS- Before you buy, I have a Joanne's 40% coupon for you
