Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

How old are the kids? Would the face painter have enough time to get to all of them?

Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

My friend has both at her party and the balloons were a bigger hit because there were many younger ones.

Is the party outside or in a larger space? Every time I attend a party with balloon animals, the guy always makes swords/light sabers for the boys and they end up running wild and beating each other with them! Chat Icon I think I like the face-painting better regardless...

Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

a friend had a face painter at her ds' bday party. the art work's gorgeous up until the kids got an allergic reaction on their face. not pretty.

teh artist used the same brush on everyone. i would like to see some sanitary solution visible.

Face painting...only because I forsee potential popping of the balloons and them being eaten by the babies Chat Icon

(I have a slight fear of that!)

For my DS's 2nd birthday they wouldn't send someone to do balloons because of his age for the choking hazard.

I had face painting and I would only do that.

Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

I would do balloons since it's good for all ages. The parents would have to supervise the little ones though so they don't eat them. I'm not a fan of face painting just because of the mess factor and like someone else said, the possible allergic reactions.

Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

We had both at DS's first birthday party. For the little ones, the painter did a "tattoo" on their arms, not on their face. I did not have DS's face painted because he has sensitive skin but all the kids loved it!

Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

balloons. Most kids like them and I know many kids don't like getting their face painted, at least I know mine doesn't and I know of a few others that don't as well.

I use to own a childrens entertainment company (back in the 90's) and we stopped making animal balloons for this very reason- It really depned on how many children you are having, what the ages and if the parents will be attentive of them...Face/hand painting is almost always a hit Chat Icon

Re: Face Painting or Animal Balloons

Well we went with the balloons b/c the timeng is limited and the face painting takes a while, and we have a lot of kids, and they said a lot of waiting in line could make it hairy...LOL...But I wanted something and the tempoary tatttos didint seem to be appealing to the age groups we have.

Thanks for everyone advice!

My son is scared of balloons for some strange reason, so I vote for face painting. Some kids just don't like balloons
