Facebook ? - Can you tell if someone has looked at your page?
Just wondering....can you tell if someone looks at your page? Such as if someone is looking for you and they are on facebook (but not your friend) and then was searching for you?
I guess I am asking if you can tell if your page was viewed and by whom.

I remember a while back people were posting things that supposedly told you who viewed your profile, how often, etc. I never clicked on them though becuase I assumed it was some type of virus or spam. I don't know if there's a real way to tell. We need a teenager to come on here and tell us, they're bound to know!

Nah I don't think so. I think all those posts that come up with a link is a virus...I never clicked on them.

I know it says technically you can't tell who's looking at you, but I think that's a load of BS. Several people I haven't spoken to in years who are not friends of friends have popped up in the upper right corner as "suggested" friends. How would they be linked to me if they weren't looking me up?

I think the "suggested friends" thing comes from if you have more than one mutual friends. If you click it, you can see basically everyone that you have friends in common with. That was my impression of that function, anyway.

I have nothing in my profile...no likes or anything. There is nothing to link me to these people...not locations, or schools, or likes, or mutual friends...I find that too coincidental.

The only thing in there is that I'm female and my birthdate, cause I think it required that I enter them when I signed up, but I have both listed as do not show. Absolutely nothing else.

I'm gonna say no, facebook just knows. The time we figured this out was when DH and I signed my parents up to fb. Now they are not members of anything on the internet, they dont have any friends or family email addresses saved in their email contacts and in their first name portion I used both their names. When it came to the step of friend suggestions it had linked them to so many people that they knew and it linked them to family in a different country who I KNOW would not know to look for them. Its very weird...but im callin it a big brother thing.
