Facebook and pics of your kids
Need opinions here.
We recently visited with DHs family in europe and they took pics of us while we were there. They said they would send them on when the downloaded them - by means of shutterfly or one of those pic sites where you send the link to family members etc. I specifically said DO NOT PUT THEM ON FACEBOOK as my sil has a facebook account and she will basically post anything up there. Herself and her husband had a competition recently to see who could get more "friends" so its not like she just limits her contacts on there to immediate family and friends.
I am trying not to get pizzed off but I really am. You can right click on any pic of my DD and just save onto your own computer.
I have a facebook account but dont post pics only used it to keep in contact with my brother when he was travelling for a year.
I get on well with my sil normally but I dont understand why she did it when I specifically said not to.
Thoughts?

I would send her a message on Facebook to please remove the photos.

Re: Facebook and pics of your kids
So I assume she posted the pics on her Facebook ...
I'd just send her a short, friendly note (email) saying that you'd like her to remove your kids' pics from her Facebook. You're just not comfortable with that. Thank her and end with a smile.
(Hopefully she listens - if she doesn't, well then we'll revisit this thread )

I agree! I am a very private person as well and this would make me MAD!

I agree - just a quick note to her saying "great pics, but can you please take down the ones of DC - I'm not comfortable with having her face up there".
I would never post pictures of other people's kids without their permission - even my nephews.
