Facebook friends
Are you friend's with your SO's friends even if you've never met them? My SIL is on facebook but my brother is not and she has so many facebook friends from people my brother and I were friends with from childhood so she only maybe knows of them, never met them. Well today DH finally decided to join facebook and I got a friend request along with a message from someone he went to high school with who I don't even know of because he's never mentioned this perosn to me ever. I'm honestly confused as to why she would want to be my friend, what the heck do we have to talk about? Does anyone else find this weird or is this the norm?

Lots of people just like to collect friends on facebook. It doesn't mean that you are going to talk or even ever comment on each others pages. I find it kind of silly which is why I don't have a gazillion friends on facebook.

My DH refuses to be on facebook, he has friended people on my account and chatted with them through my account.

People just want to add as many friends as possible for some reason Also, it doesn't help with the "People you may know " section

Same with me - I have two people as "friends" that I have never met before in my life but, they went to grammar school with DH.
