Fairfield Inn
has anyone stayed at a fairfield inn before? we're taking a road trip this summer and the fairfield inn is a posibility

Its a lower level marriott right? Then yes, its definitly a clean but not a lot of frills hotel. I'd say along the lines of a Hampton Inn

i woudl have to disagree in terms of being like a Hampton Inn. I LOVE hampton inn, i think they're great... Fairfield Inn is a much lower level Marriott... the one we stayed in was like a motel as it has outdoor corridors and doors. it was fine though...clean, but the rooms are a bit small.
