Family Friendly Restaurant??
Our friends are coming in from NJ tomorrow with their 2 1/2 yr old and 1 yr old daughters. We want to take them to lunch, preferably somewhere that's kid/family friendly. But not a chain. Any ideas? We live in Huntington, Syosset, Woodbury, Plainview, Northport would all work. Thanks!

Don't know that area specifically, but a tip I can offer you:
Our large primarily Italian family often lunches at family-style Italian places. They often do well with toddlers, especially during the early afternoon hours when they are not as crowded as during the dinner hour.
Is there a Matteo's in that area?
The one in Bellmore is one of our faves.

There is a La Famiglia in Plainview- they are family style Italian if that is what you are looking for.

Re: Family Friendly Restaurant??
Actually just went to the website and there's one in Huntington.
I had my baby shower at the place Nell recommended.

Another vote for La Guana Grill in Woodbury. I think kids eat free too.

Sweet Mama's in Northport for sure
We live in Northport and go to Sweet Mama's at least 1x a week and my kids are insane! If the weather is nice, you can eat outside.
There is also Tim's Shipwreck Diner on Main St. They also have an outdoor area and are located right in town by the dock and Parks.
In Huntington, there is Munday's on Main St. After, you could walk over to Hecksher Park.

Re: Family Friendly Restaurant??
We take our kiddos to Sweet Mama's in Northport :) It's perfectly family friendly, but classier than your average family friendly restaurant.
