Father's Day craft ideas for a bunch of 2-3 yr olds
Looking for ideas for a playdate in June. The less glue and paint involved the better!

I'm doing a playdate around this and I'm making coupons for the kids to color and decorate. The coupons will be good for things like hugs, kisses, dirty diaper pass, etc. I will tie them together with ribbon. I am looking in to business cards that you can run through the print and are perforated.

Thats a cute idea! If I copy you we'll have to make sure were not having the same people though.

hmmm.....
what about cutting out a necktie shape and letting the kids decorate it? Then with a hole punch, at the top you could string a piece of yarn so dad can wear his tie
Aly did a block of wood (colored it) and the teacher took her pic, put it on the block and on a strip of paper it says Chip off the old block.
do a search for handprint crafts...there's a million things to do with handprints
popsicle stick frames....my kids painted and then glued some sequins on for Mother's day. Then I taped their pics in, stuck some magnets on and BAM! present. I hot glued the frames together. You could make it easier by prepainting the sticks and using self stick foam shapes

With the daycare I did a craft where the kids found a stick in the yard, we tied string to it and had each child make a fish....On it we wrote " My Dad is a great catch !"
You could also do stepping stones ... take round aluminum tins and fill them with cement....Let it stiffen a bit , buy glass marbles in assorted colors and have them decorate with them and put their handprint in it...
Buy t-shirts from AC Moore and have the kids put their handprint with paint and write "I have the best dad- hands down" , or their foot prints with the poem " Walk a little slower " on the back...

Here is what we will be doing at the playdate:
Let's get together to make something special for Father's Day for all the hardworking Daddies. We will be making a Color Your Own Canvas Tool Belt for the "handy dad" at your home! 17 1/4 " with 3 pockets and two 20" ties. Please bring along hand wipes and an old shirt your child can wear while coloring the canvas tool belt.
You can probably get the kit from a craft store or Oriental Trading.
