favoring one side?

ds is 5 months and only rolls to the left side. he still gets caught up on his arms and doesn't roll over from back to belly (but has been doing belly to back since 2 1/2 months). when he sleeps it's always on his left side. even in his bouncer he some how twists his neck so that it's totally to the left (this looks scary b/c his body is still straight.)

i try to encourage his rolling and sleeping to the right but it hasn't been working.

should i be really worried? call my ped.? i don't want his head to get uneven and i'm worried about his muscle strength on the right side. any advice would really be appreciated!

Mine always favored one side over the other - I think its normal - especially at that young age.

does he reach with both hands? Put both hands to his mouth? If so, I wouldn't worry. If you notice that he doesn't use the right side or if the right side is stiffer than the left, then a call to the ped may be warranted. The PP is correct that is it still very young to be too concerned over this.
