Favoring one side of his head
This might be an odd question but does your DC favor one side of his/her head. My DS is 11 weeks old and he is always looking towards his right side - he never looks at his left side....we half joke that he is missing out on 1/2 his world.
My sister told me about a coworker whose baby was squished when she was carrying and that when the baby was born, the baby needed physical therapy and what not.....I know I am getting paranoid but has anyone's child like this - is this normal? When do they outgrow it?

Re: Favoring one side of his head
What you are describing is something that you should bring up at your next doctor appt. It could be torticollis or it might not..either way..some doctor's feel that children out grow this and some do not and send the child on to pt.
My son had left torticollis and the PT believes that this was from birth and his placement in the womb...my ob confirmed that the baby was head down for months before delivery and based on his size it's understandable. We went to PT when he was 4 months and it did wonders for him. He was cleared in February - no more toricollis
If you have any questions please feel free to FM. We went through a lot and learned so much.
ETA: Here are the best set of pictures that I have that show the progression with his neck Pictures

Re: Favoring one side of his head
My dd did the same thing, right around that age. What I did was I started switching sides on the changing table so it forced her to look out or when she was in her bouncy seat and I was reading to her or whatever I'd move so she'd have to turn her head to that side. In a week or so she started turning it. I'd try these things and if doesn't improve, ask your dr.

That's what we do. My son always sleeps and favors his left side. But we switch him up when he is in his crib and stuff as well and it has helped. We wnet to the pediatrician on Monday and he said that is fine. We just need to move around so he can follow our voices. And he does!
