Favorite restaurant in Babylon?
What is your favorite restaurant in Babylon? Also please specify if it is nicer, more upscale, or is it more casual, or bar-like.
We've been to several, but I'm wondering if there are any hidden gems out there.

Aside from Kotobuki which is my favorite, DH and I really enjoyed the Thai Restaurant across the street from Kotobuki. We went for DH's birthday one night and were pleasantly surprised. It is casual and the food was excellent. The owner was also very nice!

And they closed!!!!! We went there for Valentine's, anniversaries, etc...We tried there maybe in December and they were gone....
Don Ricardo's on Montauk is excellent. It's cheesy, Mexican but so good. A million and one margaritas! We like Sakura which also good, not as crowded as Kotobuki is.
Our true favorite is the Greek Garden (our first date ) It's off of DPA across from LoMann's. Very casual and family owned. Cheap, too!

Re: Favorite restaurant in Babylon?
We love the Argyle! It's LOUD, and crowded, but the atmosphere is great, the food is excellent, cocktails are good.... we just love this place!
Don Ricardo's is probably in second place.
The Hook used to be our fave, but it's under new management and I'm not as crazy about it as I used to be. it's slipped to 3rd on the ranking

The Pier is good. Casual, reasonably priced. Their is an italain place-i can not remember the name of it on Main St, in the tradewinds shopping center that ws great a few years ago but i am not sure how they are now. Tricias Cafe-Mulberry Street Parking lot is pretty good, casual and good prices too.

Barrique is our favorite place in Babylon. Perfect for wine lovers. The atmosphere is California rustic. The chef is French and the food is fantastic! We had our rehearsal dinner there and our family loved it.

Re: Favorite restaurant in Babylon?
Thanks for all of the suggestions!
We like the Thai place too, and were disappointed when they closed.
And the margaritas at Don Ricardos..yum!
I agree that the Argyle can get loud. That's the one deterrent for us when it's date-night.
We'll have to check out Barrique. That's pretty much the only one we haven't been to!

Makes me wonder how some of these medicore restaurants can stay around while really good places close

Lucy's is awesome. It's very small, so, I'd make reservations if you go on a busy night.
The entrance is in the back - right next door to Fitness Incentive.

Re: Favorite restaurant in Babylon?
We frequent the Armadillo Grille- casual, great cold 2-fer beers
For a $$$ dinner we go to Carriage House or Gemellis. Service is terrible at Carriage house but food is great. Both great at Gemellis.

100% recommend Argyle Grill! Hands down the best. It's loud and casual. Great bar drinks and Never had a bad meal. And their ither restaurant barrique is across the street.more for wine and smaller menu. But great atmosphere also!

Barrique is just as loud, if not louder, than the Argyle. It's really small and cramped too. The food is good but the service has been reallllyyy bad lately...even at lunch when it's dead. I think they were better when they first opened.
My favorite place is Sakura. Best sushi (better than Kotobuki IMO), awesome service, & casual. il Villagio (on DPA, close to Main St.) is good Italian. I also love Tricias--good food and very reasonably priced.
