My Fav. is Fall
I Love the Weather
Not too Cold & Not too Hot.
I love the colors of the leaves on the trees. I Love the Smell in the air.
I Love Halloween and the Spookiness.

I used to say Autumn was my favorite. And I like it. I like the turning from hot to cool. I like wearing sweaters outside without a coat and I like the colors - umber, ochre.. the richness of it is spectacular.
But the older I get the more I realize that Spring is my season. There is a life - a certain vibrancy to Spring that is unlike any other season. I like the thawing of the earth. I like that people and animals seem to have a super awareness of the world around them - bears wake up, people get a sudden urge to clean their basements. I love the colors - not deep and jeweled like the colors of autumn - but light and alive - the long lines of pink streaming from my weeping cherry - the violent and sudden bursts of purple poking up from my lilacs.
I used to like fall better because it sounded and felt more profound - a small season of dying. But the older I get - the more important and miraculous life becomes to me. And spring really is a season of birth in my mind.. so it's my favorite.
That's a bit more than you asked for, huh?

I like summer turning into fall...I like that it's still warm enough for flip flops but that I could get away with a light corduroy jean & sweater. Love the way the air smels around that time - crisp - and the sky is always a beautiful blue.

Summer without a doubt...
Love the hot days...even the steamy ones where there are thunderstorms in the afternoon cuz of the humidity!!
It never gets old for me, I'm like a little kid about the summer!!
