FB messenger app question

i'm in a closed FB group, but it's a large group. one of the ladies of the group sent me a message via messenger.

i read it and didn't have a chance to reply at the moment. i would like to reply now, but i can't find the message.

she and i are not FB friends, so she's not on any of my lists. i can't remember her name to look her up in the group.

how do i find a message from someone who is not a friend of mine?

There is another mailbox with messages from people you aren't friends with.

If you go the messenger app, click the people in the middle on the bottom, then click the word bubble at the top, it should be there.
