Fed up with asking DH to take pics all the time.... I am taking matters into my own hands...

DH is the photographer - he has this big scary camera that I just can't work...even if I could, I don't know how to download them into the computer...

Everytime I ask him to take pics, he either wont because he doesnt like to be told to take pics, or wants to be artsy, or whatever. Or he is too tired. Or whatever. Its so frustrating....

Or he will take the pics, and I'll never see them because he won't download them into the computer.

It really upsets me. I just want pictures of him. He gets bigger everyday, and I don't want to not have pics of my baby...

The only option I felt was available for me was to just start buying disposable digital cameras. I did this last year when going for my wedding dress fittings, and it worked out well.

Its expensive, but worth it to me because I'll finally be in control of getting some pictures of Cailen. I'll not only get a disc when I develop them, but prints as well....

I can't wait to start taking pics of him - especially in all of the cute outfits I put him in... I want to try and get one of him smiling as well!

You need to learn how to do it!!! When I was home on maternity leave I took pictures of Noah pretty much every single day! We have a digital SLR and I only use it on auto...

Why not invest in a small digital camera for yourself that you know how to use so you can take lots and lots of pictures of Cailen...taking pictures makes me happy!

I have a feeling your landlord's daughter could give you some tips on how to work the "big scarey camera"... just a guessChat Icon

They do change every day and now with digital there's no reason not to take 10000000000000000 picsChat Icon

I do about 90% of the photos, but I hand the camera to DW once in a while, because I want to make sure I'm in some of the pics with DC. I know you mentioned you have a small digital camera somewhere. That's good, because even if you have the best SLR camera in the world, it's just not convenient for spur-of the-moment pics, or travel pics, trips to the mall, park, etc. You need something you can stick in a pocket or bag, pull it out real fast, take a few photos, and not worry about it too much.
It's digital, so there is no money wasted if you take 100 bad photos. It took a while to teach that to DW. She's good now, though. She just clicks away, and anything that isn't good, we just don't print. With digital cameras, you can throw away 100 bad pics, and edit the few that are so-so, and print out the good ones. (I don't throw away any pics, I just store them on the computer and don't print them).
