Re: feeding
I have always had this problem and Lola my Maltese is 4 .. I add a little cut up treat in tiny pieces and it gets her to eat.. I give her dry in the morning and mixed wet and dry at night for dinner .. I also give her a snack at around 9pm (a carrott)
I give her 1/4 of a cup of the food at each feeding.. Not a big dish of food.. I find the less I put in the bowl the more she eats.. Little dogs get empty stomach problems I've learned .. So 2 smaller meals and a little snack stops lola from throwing up the bile IN MY BED!!! I learned this the hard way.. G/L hth

Re: feeding
Yup 1/4 cup each time and she is still over weight.. My dd drops stuff on the floor and she eats that sometimes if I dont catch her.. she is 13lbs she should be 10-11 lbs.. That 2 lbs is very much a big deal when your dealing with dogs.. I also have not been walking her as much, but I just started again and I think its helping.. also long walks stimulate the appitite as well.. these little dogs dont need alot of food at once but I limit the amount of times to just 2 at the same exact time every day so I can keep her poops and peeps on a schedule. If I fed her all day long she would go to the bathroom all day long KWIM?
