Feeding a sleeping baby?
My DD has been sleeping since about 3:00pm..she just finished 3 ounces.
It is now 7:30pm, 4 1/2 hours later and is still sleeping. Can I try and feed her - I'm not trying to wake her but my sister said that if a baby is hungry, even while sleeping, she will eat.
What do you think?

I would let her sleep too. Whenever I tried to wake DS up it would throw him off b/c he could/would never finish a whole bottle.

Re: Feeding a sleeping baby?
I would let her sleep. I always followed the rule (and still do) "never wake a sleeping baby."

Re: Feeding a sleeping baby?
I think it depends on how old the newborn is. Some peds say to wake the baby because some of them sleep through feedings and it not good for them. But if they are old enough (after a few weeks, I think) then they know when they are hungry.
