Feeding Question...
Doctor said that I can start giving him a little bit of meat. He mentioned cooking and blending it. Would it be a crime if it came from a jar?
Now DS's Current feeding schedule goes like this:
Morning - Anywhere between 4 to 6 oz of milk. Then 2tbsp of cereal and a stage 2 jar of fruit (sometimes he has half sometimes he has the whole thing)
Afternoon - Anywhere between 4 to 6 oz of milk. Then 3 tbsp of veggies and 2 tbsp of fruit. (Although I was thinking of increasing it to 3)
Early evening - Anywhere between 4 to 6 oz of milk. Then 2 tbsp of Cereal with a stage 2 jar of fruit.
Late evening (9 or 10ish) It's just a bottle.
My question is at what feeding do I add the meat. I don't want to add it to the late evening one. How much meat do I give once I tag into one of the feedings?

Re: Feeding Question...
when I started meats I used the stage 2 mixes, either meat with a veggie or fruit, preferably organic but I use both. I don't measure what i give her, I just give what she wants and I give it to her at dinner. She gets 3 meals a day.

Re: Feeding Question...
I read somewhere that you should make the middle meal of the day (lunch) the bigger meal with the meat in it, but I'm not sure that many people do this.

Re: Feeding Question...
I give her chicken that I cook and puree myself with a vegetable and some water. For personal reasons, I do not want to give Ava chicken from a jar, and she will not be eating red meat, just as I do not. I give it to her as her dinner because if I don't, she wakes up very hungry in the middle of the night. I guess the protein holds her over. I don't measure what I give her. I just make a bunch of chicken and freeze some. She eats probably about three to four Tbsps. if I had to guess. Maybe more
