Feel silly asking this- bottle before a nap?

It feels like this should be obvious but I'm having trouble getting this: my DS followed an eat, play, sleep routine and it worked great for him. He basically put himself on it. I was trying this with DD, but I'm realizing that she doesn't really want to eat as soon as she wakes up from a nap. She eats 2 oz. when she wakes up and then finishes the rest of the bottle around an hour later right up until she has her nap. I've heard that some people give bottles right before a nap but I never really got it because aren't your kids hungry when they wake up? How does your bottle/nap schedule work if you give bottles before naps? TIA!!

My DS will be 4 months on Friday. He doesn't follow an exact eat, play, sleep model. Sometimes he plays, eats, naps or plays, eats, plays, naps. It really depends on his naps in relation to when he is scheduled to eat. His last bottle is always right before bed.
