Feeling Down
I finally got a smiley on CD18 (last night) and when we went to DTD DH just couldn't perform (if you know what I mean). We've been doing it few times during this week just incase because I thought maybe I missed my surge even though I've been testing everyday. The day we finally need to do it it doesn't happen. Of course all these self esteem issues Pop in my head but he assures he's just really tired. I know we can still do it but what if he doesn't perform again? . Im trying so hard on my end going to acupuncture, taking my vitamins daily, trying to be healthy etc... Sorry for the rant just need to get this off my chest. :(

It could also be the pressure of this is the day it has to happen. Maybe don't tell him about the opks and just initiate. Also, sometimes they can feel like a sperm donor if it becomes all about ovulating, ttc, etc.
If it doesn't happen this cycle maybe just go out, enjoy yourself, drink wine at dinner. Dtd around your fertile time.
It has absolutely nothing to do with you.

Feeling Down
I haven't told my DH when it's that time for that reason... I just don't want him to feel pressured.. He has sort of figured it out himself but I never want him to feel like he HAS to.. For a while when he couldn't perform I took it very personally but he assured me it wasn't me... Everyone says don't stress it won't happen but how can you not stress?!?!?!? Deep breathes... it will all be worth it in the end...

Re: Feeling Down
Don't tell him! Just keep it fun, light, no pressure. Men often create mental blocks when they are put on the spot to perform. My DH would totally freak on the days after IUI when we were told to do it again. He just had major issues making sex into a task. Try limiting the info to him, and just enjoy the process. I know it's difficult :/

Re: Feeling Down
Thank you ladies, I usually don't tell him but for some reason I got excited because I finally got a +OPK, I usually get it cd12-15. Thanks for all the advice and that was the reason, he said he felt pressured because she knew he had to perform and he assured me it wasn't me. Good thing is we DTD last night so I feel a lot better .
Thank you all!

Feeling Down
I am sorry. I try so hard every month not to tell my husband, but at this point he pretty much knows when to expect it. It sucks when that happens. I know people always say to relax but it is VERY hard to relax when you have been TTC for a long time. I wish I knew how to have wine and just relax. When you know your cycle it's easier said than done. I find myself going more crazy the months I don't temp or use an OPK b/c then I have no idea if I ovulated. I hope this is your month!!!

Re: Feeling Down
I remember the days of watching a lot of porn in order to get my dh to perform. It wasn't easy, but frankly it worked with my dh. Hope things go more smoothly next month. Good luck!
