Feeling positive
I was a bit bummed last week after going to the RE and finding out in addition to DH's issues I may some of my own. Nothing crazy (low progesterone, short LP). BUT, after the gtg and talking to some of the girls I decided I would start taking vitamin B6. So, I have only been taking it a week and a half, however, I am on CD23 and I would normally get heavy brown spotting from CD20 until AF. Well, very very very very little spotting the past couple days. Im going tomorrow to have my progesterone checked but I feel good that only a week of taking the B6 has seemed to help. We will see how it goes until AF comes.

i should actually be thanking you!! When you were like "if it was me, i would just take them," I looked up B6 and figured it cant do any harm so ill just prescribe it for myself! so, thank you!

Re: Feeling positive
Hmm ... I wonder if I should self-prescribe, too! I also spot for at least 7 days before AF. There's no harm in taking it, right?
SO glad it seems to be helping you!

You're welcome! And as a little more reassurance I work in a doctor's office and had my bloodwork done and looked at by one of the PA's my B6 was elevated (from taking the supplement) and she said as long as we know why it's elevated not that it just is for no reason then there is no problem.

I dont believe so at all. It is a regular OTC vitamin I got a stop and shop. I read you should not take more than 100mg a day. 1 pill is 100mg and there is such a small amount of B6 in the prenatal (i think 2mg or something). So 1 pill a day is what I decided to take (even though it is 2mg over). When I told the RE i was taking it he didnt seem to have any problem with it.

Re: Feeling positive
One more thing You can always take it everyday for a few month just to get it up and then switch to every other day. Once I found out I wasno longer B6 deficiant I started to take it every other day so it wouldn't keep rising but would stay where it needed to be.

Re: Feeling positive
So, I just the call from the nurse. My progesterone was low at 6.6. The dr. said he wanted it above 10. I am getting the suppositories today and starting tonight. Iam kind of relieved to have some more answers yet also kind of mad. How come when I asked dr.'s for the past 8 years about this spotting I was always told that this was normal???? I alwasy pushed it and asked at least 3 different ob's, 2 primary care drs. my GI and one other RE. I just KNEW in my heart it wasnt right, but nobody ever seemed to care, until now. Im just going to focus on the fact that we are taking the right steps toward our goal. It also gives me more hope that with DH's surgery and some supplements we might be able to this on our own!! Sorry so long. Thanks for reading.
