Feeling really full after eating?
For the past week or so after I finish eating dinner I get extremely bloated (looking like I am 9 months pregnant compared to when I wake up in the morning with still a flat stomach) and feel extremely full to the point of feeling nauseous. Is this normal? I do not feel like this when I eat during the day just at night.
ETA - I will be 17 weeks on Thursday

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
The same thing happens to me at night...I don't necessarily feel nauseous, but I do feel really full and my stomach is huge after I eat dinner.

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
I think this is totally normal. This is happening to me now and happened with my first pregnancy. I eat a few bites of food and feel like I am going to burst. I think it might have something to do with water retention although I am not sure. I am 16 weeks.

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
I believe it's indigestion. I get the same thing after almost every meal, and get really bloated and uncomfortable. It takes a couple hours for the fullness to go away even a little bit. I don't know what to do about it either.

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
This happens to me to the point where I have actually gotten sick because I "ate too much". When in actuallity, I have eaten the same if not less than what I used to. My husband and went for pizza and I had two medium sized slices of plain pizza and ended up getting sick as soon as we left the pizza place. My husband thought I was joking until he was helping hold my hair back!

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
I am sorry we are all going through this but it makes me feel a little better that I am not the only one. I ate some steamed veggies and brown rice over 3 hours ago and I still feel like I ate a truck load of food. I am sitting here so uncomfortable and my stomach looks likes I am ready to pop any minute

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
I get the same way. I try to eat the tiniest meals possible and just eat more times each day - that really helps.
But yesterday I ate a small serving of garlic chicken with white rice at 12:30 and I couldnt even LOOK at food again until dinner time at aroun 6:30 I felt so sick! So for dinner I had one baked chicken cutlet and one biscuit and that was it - I was satisfied until I went to bed!

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
I feel the same way. At 8w5d, I am always ravenous, but it takes the smallest amount of food to make me (temporarily) REALLY full. Then the cycle starts over again.

Re: Feeling really full after eating?
I really thought it had to do with things being moved around inside and leaving less room for my stomach. I have just been trying to make sense out of all of it!
I have these full days more often than not but there are some days when I just can't stop eating!!

i go through the same thing...its rather annoying...and still happening at basically 29w.
ill be really hungry but can only have a tiny bit and then im like ummm why do i feel like i just ate a ton of food.

This is my problem as well. It's bad enough I have to deal with the nausea all day long but when I am finally ready to eat I can only eat a few bites.
