Feeling the baby move late?

Does that sound right? She thinks it's b/c she has good ab muscles - I've never heard that theory but anything's possible!

31 weeks does seem late, but I did read you may feel little or no movement until later if you have strong ab muscles. Also if this is your first child.

My SIL just felt her baby kick/move for the first time at 31wks. Does that sound right? She thinks it's b/c she has good ab muscles - I've never heard that theory but anything's possible!

Does she have an anterior placenta?

Re: Feeling the baby move late?

When I asked my sister how far along she was before she felt her DD move she told me about that long. She did say that after that she realized that some of the things she had been feeling for weeks must have been the baby she just didn't know it at the time.

Maybe that's what happened??Chat Icon

Re: Feeling the baby move late?

I am almost 24 weeks and very rarely feel the baby move. My dr said it is because my placenta is in front the the baby and blocking her kicks.

Re: Feeling the baby move late?

That's odd....

I would like to say I HAD pretty strong ab muscles pre-pregnancy and I felt movement around 20 weeks.

Maybe she was mistaking the kicks for gas?
