Feelings book
Jordana is having trouble expressing her feelings. I thought I would get some books on this. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Feelings book
There is a book by Jamie Lee Curtis that is appropriate for 3-5 year olds. Today I Feel Silly and Other Moods That Make My Day.
here is a link

Re: Feelings book
Here's an even easier idea than getting books. Make one. For Ava, when she was really going through a rough time with this, we wrote a few short stories with her name in them and with pictures of her, and we would read them to her a few times a day. We had them laminated so she couldn't destroy them and we inserted pictures of her and other pictures of little kids with whatever face on that we were trying to portray. They'd be really simple like: Sometimes Ava gets mad. When mommy and daddy tell her NO!, she will scream and kick. When Ava is mad, she should use her words. She can say, "I'm mad!" or "I'm angry," etc...... You get the point. It worked really beautifully. She's actually starting to tell me how she feels. HTH!

Re: Feelings book
Love the idea, to piggy back on this idea..you can have her cut out pictures in magazines too and glue it to the page to help her. Flip through some magazines and add to her pics, make a couple of pages of angry with pics of her, magazine pics, and colors express moods too, have her color in pics with red or black...soothing colors for happy and excited, blue for sad...hope it helps
