Fees to drop off animal at emergency hospital?
I posted on Craigslist about the ferret. Someone wrote and told me they would take the ferret for the night because hospital fees will be very expensive....
why would they charge me for taking a lost animal? Does that sound weird to you???

one time my father pick up a deceased dog from the road by our house and drove it to the animal shelter and they wanted to charge him a fee to drop it off my dad was like i was just trying to be a good citizen and he told them that he would go put it back on the street..... they then took the dog but had an attitude about it

That was really kind of your father to do. Most people would have just left it there

I've never heard of paying a fee for a found animal.

I *think* it is free if it is a wild animal and you have to pay if it is a pet.
