Feet/running problem
I am getting bad blisters on my big toe, it appears the big toe is being squished against the second toe while I am running. This is happening with all of my running sneakers. I think my feet changed during pregnancy. Do I need a bigger size? Or a wide sneaker? What brands make widee sizes and where can I get them? Help - this is preventing me from working out!

Re: Feet/running problem
Oh yeah it definitely sounds like your feet have changed! I know you are in this area so I would check this place out:
Schwab's Second Wind Inc 1371 Route 25A East Setauket, NY 11733 (631) 751-5534
It's in the Wild by Nature shopping center right next to King Kullen. They will check out your feet, watch you run and help you on the picking the best shoe for your feet.
I am not sure if you are technically an SB employee but I believe SB staff/students get a 10% discount or something like that. Prices are decent, pretty much like any sporting goods store.
Good luck!

Re: Feet/running problem
I agree that you need to go to a running store and have them pick out your sneakers for you.
And, when you get running sneakers, they should be a little bigger. like if you are an 8.5 normally, then you should get a 9.

Yes, you definetly need bigger shoes. I had a problem with my toes also but (tmi) I webt to runners edge and got 1 whole size bigger in my new sneakers.

It sounds like you might need wider shoes. New Balance, Asics & Ryka make wide sneakers.

Re: Feet/running problem
Definitely go to a running store. If you are in Nassau/Western Suffolk I suggest the Runner's Edge in Farmingdale.
