Fell Last night

HI ladies -

So i am only 5 weeks and have had 3 mc's before so I am very optimistically cautious. I have been tkaing meds and my lovenox shots...progersterone suppositories etc.

Last night on our way home from dinner i slipped on ice on the top step and fell. I did not fall down the stairs..just the first one and my butt took most of the brunt..i have not been bleeding or anything but of course I am a little freaked out. Has anyone fallen??

I guess it is just soo frustratin here i am doing everything i possibly can to keep this pregnancy and than i go an fall..urgh..what can you do???

I fell in the shower earlier on...and fell really hard. Like you my butt too took the brunt of the fall. I called my doctor and they said I shouldn't have a problem...to just watch out for bleeding and cramping. I was fine....i'm sure you will be too.

Re: Fell Last night

I am sorry you fell and your baby should be nice and cushioned in there. BUT..... when on Lovenox ANY fall is to be reported to the doctor. You don't want to mess with blood thinners. My sister took a spill when pregnant and on Lovenox after slipping on a water bottle top. Her and baby were fine but the doctor said all fallls need to be reported. Just in case Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am a klutz. I have fallen twice - once the day before we found out we were pregnant (I was about 5 weeks then) and then again at 23 weeks. I make sure I wear low heel shoes and sneakers and walk slower now. I'm not in a rush anymore. Also, yesterday when we went out, DH made sure I held his arm when I got out of the car and walked with me.

I fell down 3 stairs in front of a hotel - actually I should say I fell and then slid down those darn stairs but I tried to keep it all on my butt and not turn onto my belly. Other than being really shaken, I was Ok and so was the baby - no cramping and no bleeding. Just call your doctor ASAP if you feel cramps or see any blood.
