Fellow HR ladies
Since there seem to be a bunch of us that frequent this board
What is your background? Where do you work now? How many years of experience do you have and how did you get to where you are now?
I started out as an HR Assistant in 2001. Was promoted to HR Coordinator in 2003, HR Associate in 2005 and then switched jobs was an HR Generalist and Manager from 2005-2007 and have been an Employment Specialist (aka Generalist) at my new job for over a year. I work for a very large publishing company in central NJ. I find that I prefer working for large companies vs. smaller ones.
I love my job and my company but sometimes I am like...shouldn't I be further ahead? LOL. I mean, most senior generalist do have roughly 5 - 7 years experience so I guess I fall where I should be....and I am happy for now. I mainly recruit and handle ER issues.
How about you?

Re: Fellow HR ladies
Present!
I finished my MHRM in 2003 and started working as a rep. I was PHR certified and now SPHR certified. I was promoted to Rep 2 and then SR. Rep.
Switched to an HRM job in 2007 and work as a generalist.
