Fencing costs (pvc, wood, iron estate, chain link)
Does anyone know ranges of appx costs of fencing? Mostly I guess I am asking, can you rank the cost of these fencing types from highest to lowest? pvc, wood, iron estate, chain link
And give me an example of what a certain area might cost if you compared two types?
And mostly, is Iron fencing way more than PVC , the same or less?

my dh works with the pvc fencing so that is the only one i know about.
i would imagine that that iron would be the most expensive. pvc and chain link are about the same.....pvc is about 220 a section...but i depends on which style you get. wood can be the cheapest but it depends on what wood you choose

I actually thought PVC was much more expensive than chain link?

I don't know the costs of one type of fencing vs another, but chain link might be a little more costlier than it used to be because the cost of steel has gone up.

ITA. I have an area in my yard that has to be chain link, because there are horses behind me and it cost just about the same as pvc. Although, I didn't price iron, my impression is that its the most expensive.

Disclaimer: South Carolina pricing might vary tremendously!
Our yard needed only 200 feet of fencing. We only fenced in the back of the house with one walk gate and we did black chain link to match our shutters. We paid 1465.00 for the fence to be done in one day.

Chain link fencing can be as cheap as wood stockade - it depends on the gauge of the mesh. PVC is generally more expensive and iron is very expensive. If you like the look of the iron, you might want to gets quotes on aluminum picket fence. It is cheaper than iron and not as heavy, but it has the look of an iron fence.

I never heard of this. I just looked it up, very nice!!! I thought all fences that looked like iron were actually iron. Probably not after reading this.
Do you know what this costs on the scale of all the fencing types? Middle, highest or lowest?

Not a lot of them are aluminum. They don't rust either.
