Ferritin Levels
Dr. says my levels are high, they are not sure why? Gastro is next Dr.
Anyone have any experience with this? And liver enzymes elevated.

My dad has hemochromatosis, which causes his high ferritin levels. To keep his levels in check, he regularly donates blood.

Have you been checked for fatty liver? Non alcohol related fatty liver can cause it

I was tested for some of that - which came up negative and said a Gastro Dr. would know better what to test for.
I do have a fatty Liver and Diabetes.

High Ferritin levels can be related to fatty liver so that may be the cause. DH had a fatty liver that he cured with a huge diet and lifestyle change. Hopefully you'll get some more answers.
