FF moms - 1st pp period - when and how?

I'm almost 3 months pp... I might have had a period last month (very little blood but brown, which made me think period and not pp bleeding), but I'm not sure... just wanted to know what to expect and if it had been too long. I was not regular before I got pregnant after being on BCP for years. I was regular prior to going on BCP.

DS was born on Oct. 24th, 2009. First PP period was on Jan 1st. Very light and only lasted 2 days. Then I got nothing again until March 29th. I thought I was going to bleed to death. Never had a period that heavy in the 25 years I have been menstruating. Lasted a week. Couldn't leave the house. Was wiped out for days. Bad cramps and severe back pain too. OB said it was normal...
I am not looking forward to my next one....
Before I was pregnant, I was pretty regular. Every 25-28 days. Light to medium flow. Lasting only 4 days...

I was a FF mom and got mine 3.5mos PP. LIke the above poster, I too though I might bleed to death and it was LONG. So were the next few. I dont know whats happened since then but 2.5 years later they are really light and are about 4 days which is fantastic. I wasnt even that lucky pre-pregnancy.

I got mine 7 weeks pp. I wasn't sure if it was my period or just bleeding, but was leaning toward period since I hadn't been bleeding for almost a week at that point.
My second one was pretty regular, and almost a month later. I went back on the pill after the second period and its been regular.

DS was born at the end of December and I got my first period at end of April. It was not as bad as I had expected it would be.
