Fifty houses, three bids....one inspection...

One "almost" signed contract... missing COs.... mystery oil tanks....shady RE agents....OMG.. I cant take this anymore...I have no desire to go to open houses... I have no time for this...We are going to be renters forever.

I think we are going to speak with our landlords and build an extension on our basement apartment... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I could've wrote that post myself!!! (Except I think we are up to 65 houses and 4 bids! Chat Icon )

We also had an "almost signed contract" and misssing COs!!!!

It's beyond frustrating! But I keep telling myself this isn't just a house, it's an investment. I'm not going to buy something that isn't a sound investment just to end the torture of this house search - as tempting as that seems!

The good news is that as spring approaches, more inventory will come up. I don't know about your area, but I keep seeing the same 10 houses pop up that have been around since October!!!

we had the same problem. I hated...hated looking for a house. After seeing almost 50 houses, two offers, we are finally in contract! Keep patient, your dream home will come!Chat Icon

i was at about 40 houses, 4 bids, 2 accepted offers, 1 failed inspection, 1 sale that fell thru b/c of the buyer.

BUT....it was totally worth it in the end. I love my house.

tell me about it. After seeing yet another set of homes today, I told DH we should consider staying in our co-op.

Re: Fifty houses, three bids....one inspection...

I'm in the midst of a really crappy situation right now with a house I thought were were buying. They accepted our offer, I had the inspection done and was going to sign the contract tomorrow until they decided to put the screws to me and try to get more money out of me, claiming they've gotten a better offer as of last night. It stinks but I do have to say that not all agents are shady. The person I'm dealing with has been great and I completely trust him. And, MrsERod ain't too bad herself; she's gone out of her way to help me Chat Icon
