filling an inground pool? how much?
anyone ever do this?
if it's cement (dunite i heard?) is it really costly?

I've never done it but I looked into it. I got estimates between 8 and 12 thousand

from what i understand - its more than just filling in the pool. after its filled in the town needs to come and inspect.

This would be for a reduction in taxes, i am sure...
8 and 12 thousand? holy carp!!! for dirt?

it's not that much of a decrease in taxes.
I would heavily weigh your options before committing to something that big.
It's probably worth keeping the pool.

I did a little research about 8 months ago on this....I was finding anywhere from 20-30k when all said and done!

I have been told that is cheaper to replace the pool then to fill it in--we were told at least $14,000 and my cousins DH is a pool guy.
