Final Walkthrough with an inspector?
we're going to have a final walkthrough towards the end of the month, and i was wondering what is involved in that and if you brought the inspector back with you to look at the house again with you....TIA!
also when is the best time for a walktrhough? our closing in on a wed at 11:30 am.

Final Walkthrough with an inspector?
We didn't have the inspector come back with us for the final walk through. There were some electrical points on his original report that the bank requested a letter from a licensed electrician stating they were taken care of. We submitted that to them about a week before closing.
Our closing was a Wednesday afternoon and we did final walk through the afternoon before because that is when it was convenient for everyone.

Final Walkthrough with an inspector?
No inspector. Just realtor. We did ours the day we got our keys which was 3 or 4 days after closing since the sellers asked to stay a few extra days.

I did mine alone the same day as the closing. I believe an hour the closing.

We did ours the night before. It was very not-exciting and we were kind of disappointed - we thought we'd play more in the house.  We just walked through and made sure everything was still standing. I had read on LIF about turning on the boiler, flushing all the toilets, etc. and my realtor thought I was nuts.

Same here, we had time in between and bought a BBQ and put it in the yard before we had the keys , I guess we were a little excited 
The previous owners also left a nice card and champaign which I thought was nice too.

Definitely not nuts!! We did all that on our final walkthrough and the basement toilet did not flush. If we hadn't done that it would have ended up being our problem instead of previous owners! Check everything!!
