Finally finished DS' baby blanket

I knitted it while PG then forgot about it. I just did the finishes.

Do you think I should wash it first before using it?

It's beautiful. You did a great job, and I love the pattern.

ETA: Yes, you should wash it. Look at the label from the yarn. The washing instructions for it are on there. (I also always include one of them with a knitted gift so that the recipient knows how to wash it.)

I kept the label of the yarn for that purpose. I think I am going to hand wash it. It's washine and dryer safe but I don't want to "ruin" it.

It's going to be a pain to dry it though.

If you can, try wrapping it in a towl before you lay it out to try to squeeze out some of the extra liquid.

BTW- You inspired me to get my looming projects finished. I just went and blocked the sweater and hat I made DS. Last step with that one will be sewing on the buttons.

Fabulous job...I have learned that I dont have the patience for big projects like that...I get very bored. I have an afghan I've been working on for three yearsChat Icon

Re: Finally finished DS' baby blanket

It is beautiful. I tried to take up knitting but after six months I only had about 8 inches of a blanket done that I lost interest. Instead I make quilts...I need the instant gratification.
