FINALLY got our kitty spayed!

So I posted several times that I really needed to get our 1yr old Lucy spayed but she was going into heat every 2 weeks so by the time we would find a day we could take her in where one of us didn't have work, that we would be able to take care of her after the surgery, she'd end up in heat again and most vets either won't spay when they are in heat or charge double!
So, on Friday night Lucy went into heat again, only a week since the last time she went into heat but this time, started peeing on things and I lost it. We are expecting a baby any day now and had enough with the being up all night with her crazy meowing, walking around with her bum in the air, moaning, and now peeing. So Friday night, I called every vet recommendation and Island Rescue in Bayshore was the winner. They charged $60 dollars for her spay, no extra because she was in heat, and gave her rabies and regular vacs.
She has been doing great since. Of course she is sore and has been sleeping a lot. She is way more cuddly than before and not acting like the cute kitten that she was before jumping from dresser to dresser but this will probably come back once she is healed lol.
