Finally got the call from Dina @ LIIVF....
I am starting my 2nd natural IUI cycle and they don't want me in for CD3 blood work. Has this ever happened to anyone? I was surprised when she said this.
They want me in on CD11 for blood/sono, and said I will likely have to go in every morning for monitoring up to the actual IUI procedure. The good thing is that all this monitoring and the actual procedure will fall during the week of my spring break (I'm a teacher) and I won't have to run around crazy in the mornings or take a 1/2 day the morning of the procedure. Perhaps its a lucky sign!?!?

It totally makes sense because you aren't in need of meds - so nothing to monitor until follies grow. Good luck!
Natural = no meds

If you're using donor sperm and shelling out money you'd (I imagine) would do at least clomid to ensure follicles develop and ovulation. A friend did donor sperm with no partner and had to go on meds to line up with defrosting sperm, etc,
FYI - just to put it in perspective - I've done seven iui's. 1-3 100 mg of clomid - one follie - bfn 4 Gonal f injectable - five follies - bfn 5-6 Gonal f - 6-8 follies - bfp but m/c 7 Gonal f - 8 follies - bfp with one baby ;)
The fear of multiples with clomid is real - but from my experience on the board - is not the norm. IVF is different.

I did ClomId three times with anywhere between 3-6 follicles all negative.

A natural cycle means unmedicated -- I usually ovulate and produce follies on my own, so no meds needed. We are dealing more with male IF issues. I do however have an Ovidrel injection in my refrigerator ready to go just in case I need to trigger the night before the IUI!

Re: Finally got the call from Dina @ LIIVF....
I just did my 3rd cycle with clomid 50, each time I've had either 4 or 5 follies. 1st 2 cycles bfn. This cycle I had 5 follies I'll find out in 2 weeks if it worked. I don't fear the risk of multiples anymore clearly nothing has happened yet.
