FIOS - what happens when the intro rate is over?

Two people I know who have had FIOS installed, or who will be soon were told that when the intro rate expires, they can either get a lower promo rate at the 'renewal' or they can renew at the same rate for another year/2 years.

What were y'all told? It's available in the area we're (hopefully) moving to in a month or so and we're definitely interested.

I just remember how much of a shock it was to go from $29.99 to $45.00 for OOL years back.

Thanks! Chat Icon

If I was them I would read the fine print really well and if the contract doesn't say that I would have them write that. When we got cablevision for the first time they told us it would be for 24 months and when the 1 year was up it went up to the new price.

I think it will go up to the price on the sheet that they provide you when they try to sell it to you.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Words mean nothing to me. Put it on paper, and I have something to throw in your face in a year when you try to raise my rate. Chat Icon

As far as I'm concerned, if it's not on paper, it's no good.
