Fire Island
Has anyone rented a house of Fire Island? Any place better than another for families with little ones? Any tips?

It depends what you are looking for. Most of the towns are pretty good for families. Ocean Beach is always a safe bet, unless you like more isolation.

There are a lot of families in Kismet. It's a lot quieter and much more family oriented.

Kismet, Seaview, Fair Harbor, are both mostly families. There are families in Ocean Beach but there are also lots of party houses there too.
