Fire Retardants in Toddlers Blood - Study
This is more scary stuff. Add it to the toxic toys and the toxic car seats and the toxic bottles and sippy cups and we wonder why autism is on the rise  This is unacceptable to me and I can't understand why there isn't more government regulation!

I have read about this too. I cannot even understand it. I dont buy fire retardant PJ's anymore b/c of this.
I agree this is a cause of many things our youth have that are on the rise.
I really dont get how our Government allows such LOW LOW standards on things other countires monitor so much more. We truly need a major overhaul of how the government protects our children!

There is nothing in that article about autism?
I think she was inferring it. It talks of hormonal imbalances, Hyperactivity and the such. Many people believe that the lowering puberty rate only seen in the US and the Rise in Autism dosorder diagnosis's are due to the envirnomental causes the US doesnt screen for as much as other countries do....whose numbers of these disorders, diseases etc are no where near what they are in the US.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that there was. I just meant that I keep reading how all these chemicals can cause permanant changes to a child's brain, behavior and nuerological system etc. meaning that all these unregulated things in our child's enviornment could be contributing to this.

Yes, that is what I was doing. This just makes me SO MAD. I try to do the best I can by my son but every time I turn around there is something else I have to worry about! I would never even have thought of this if my sister didn't send me the article. Aren't these chemicals in like everything? the sleep sacks and all the pjs?
