Fireplace demo starts TOMORROW!!!!!!!!
I am so excited yet SO NERVOUS.
I am so afraid we are going to ruin something...the mantel..the moulding...something that has withstood 200 plus years...will be felled by me 
but I can't wait to have that room warmed by a wood fire again, like it once was.
and I REALLY can't wait for the added benefit of warming the house WITHOUT turning on the heat!   
we recently had 2 dead trees cut down, so we have all the wood we need for the winter.
I just hope everything goes to plan!!! I'll hopefully post pics when it's done next week.
please wish me luck. my house is old... I hope we are not hurting it.

good luck!!! i'm sure it's going to be just fine. we all know you wouldn't be doing this if you thought it would harm the house. you're too thorough to allow for half-thought out work.  can't wait to see pictures!

Post pics! We still don't know exactly how we want our fireplaces so they are unfinished at the moment, however we need to get them done soon in time for winter!!
