Wow, what a change in leadership. He spoke in complete sentences, was humble in most responses, gave credit to "the experts". He had individuals that didn't vote for him who asked him questions. Several difficult topics.
You don't have to agree with all (or any) of his policies, but you have to admit that it's nice having someone sane at the helm, who actually cares about ALL of the American People.
I liked how he addressed individuals and talked to them as people, including the little girl.

A big change, indeed. It was refreshing to see the media wasn’t hurling verbal assaults at the President. Haven’t seen that in over 4 years. It also looks very rehearsed, but that’s my opinion.
As for me, I will take strong policy over a “humble” leader any day.

I agree with you 100%, it's great that after 4 years of no leadership, no plans, and no policies, we finally have a leader with real, strong policies.

Not my words, but in some ways, he is echoing the leadership of FDR. Listening to the people and taking a personal interest when he can. A very productive first 100 days in office.

There is nothing for the media to insult, Biden isn't a bumbling moron of idiocy.

First Biden Town Hall
I think it was refreshing to have a town hall where a President is respected and not being attacked at every turn. Biden hopefully will be calming force and try to douse some of the flames that is occurring on both sides.
I did not like his answer to the little girl about Covid. It is sending mixed messages on who is safe, who isn't safe and why we have the shutdowns/regulations we do now. If it is safe for the kids and they shouldn't be worried, schools should be in session and all of the activities they can not participate in should be open. While the adults still be social distancing, there would be no reason for the children to do so and to be wearing masks all the time.

I liked his answer to the little girl. When my DD (8) asks questions about Covid I tell her everything will be ok. I don't see the point of putting more fear and anxiety into little kids when they already are going through so many changes.

I completely agree. My son is almost 8 and I keep things very simple and positive when he asks questions about COVID. He gets easily upset by what is going on and he's very frustrated with the his school situation and lack of social activities so I don't want to add any undue stress. He doesn't need to understand or worry about every detail and specific of COVID, he just needs to know that this is temporary and if we work together to follow the "rules" then things will get better.
I think Biden's answer was appropriate, anything more would have added stress to how that little girl was already feeling.

The individual kids are safe, like he said. The shutdowns and regulations are to prevent the kids from getting the adults sick, and from spreading it to other kids who will bring it to their families. Kids can still catch Covid, but they rarely show any symptoms. They are spreaders, though. So what he said was accurate, as far as the medical experts have been telling us. "She" will be fine, and we're working on making sure "mom" aka the adults, will also be fine.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/children/symptoms.html
... While fewer children have been sick with COVID-19 compared to adults, children can be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, can get sick from COVID-19, and can spread the virus that causes COVID-19 to others. Children, like adults, who have COVID-19 but have no symptoms (“asymptomatic”) can still spread the virus to others. ...
