first birthday at the house?
Ok I been going back and fourth with having it out or at the house. if we have it out we can invite everyone if we have it here we will invite family and close friends which will still be about 40-45 ppl. I would rather have it here but I am worried about space. Our living room is big. I was thinking of moving the couch to a section in the room where it fits perfect and is out of the way leaving the living room open and I was thinking I can easily rent 4-5 tables and set it up so guests would have a place to sit and eat...would that be wierd in a house or should I just set up folding chairs. DD's room is hue so I will set it up with games and activities for the children so they have a place to be i am stressing out over this.

I'm sure it would work. If all the adults coming are parents, they will probably be on the floor with their kids anyhow!

Re: first birthday at the house?
basically all we have is our living room, which is an L shape so I would put the couch in the L part and have the rest of the room open we have a breakfast bar in the kitchen that goes into the living room with stools so that would be additional seating. the rest of the rooms are bedrooms and aside from DD's room, I do not want guests in the bedrooms hanging out. although our kitchen is big there is no seating in there. I just worry it will be so cramped

Can you have it outside?
We are having about 40 people for DD's birthday the beginning of May, we are having her party in my IL's backyard.

Re: first birthday at the house?
That is ALOT of people inside of a house. Do you have the option of opening doors into the yard?? or renting a tent??

Re: first birthday at the house?
We are having close to that for Connors 2nd b-day mid April. We are renting one of those bouncy things for the yard so the kids can play outdie (as long as it doesn't rain we should be ok.
People tend to mingle and wander so they won't always be in one room. I think you should be fine.
