First BIrthday Party Suggestons
Nassau ladies I need your help. Sara is 6 months and I am alaready thinking about her 1st party. My parents live in Florida and they will be in NY the beginnging of February so I wanted to do the party that weekend ( Feb 4)
I need ideas of places that are not too expensive. I figure there will be about 50 people including kids.
I checked out Voilettas which is my first choice however it is 30.00 per person and 6.00 per child. It is ALOT of money after all is said and done.
I really want to have a party but we just dont have the money to do something expensive. Does anyone know of places that are good and not that expensive? I would appreciate your help. I feel like it would be so wrong NOT to have a party for her.

Re: First BIrthday Party Suggestons
I am doing Jacob's 1st Birthday at Shish Ke Bob in Plainview for their Sunday Brunch. The back room holds 60 but we are having 96 (69 adults, 27 children), so we are overflowing intot he back of the restaurant. I thought it was a reasonable price--it comes to $22 with tax and tip per person however you do not pay for children under 3.
I am bringing in entertainment, their is a stationary place 2 doors down for balloons, we are bringing the cake, and some decorations, and favors for the 27 kids I am having..
The Manager is very nice. I will let you know how it goes aafter this weekend...

Have you looked into a VFW or something equivalent? My friend's family always does parties at the VFW in Huntington -overlooks the water, nice setting. It's super affordable, spacious, and you can decorate it any way you like.
