I can't fathom it. It's the worst thing in the world.

and yet everyone thinks i'm crazy because i insist on masks, refuse to go to anyone's house, or join them for bbqs.

my family could not survive if any one of us got sick or god forbid died.
so yes, my kid will have a boring summer of legos and books and tv and only one hour a day outside for a walk with dad. but if it keeps him virus-free and healthy, it's worth it!

I’m with you
My little guys bday is coming up and I’m nervous to even have our family over.

Even though we will all be in the backyard and try to be apart from each other, hubby and I still get nervous

We had friends invite us and six other families over to their house maybe two weeks ago to swim in their pool eat etc. We didn’t go but the thought of seven families being there- 2 parents each at least two kids each, gave me such anxiety

I hate this.

My oldest son asked me if I thought coronavirus was a hoax. I looked at him and I said honestly, I wish it were because that way we could all go back to normal life immediately. Unfortunately thats not the case.

I am glad I am not the only one with anxiety over this situation. I see others who have resumed their normal lives and it makes me feel isolated. We do go out but we have not done any play dates or gatherings. We met up with my ILs halfway between our houses outdoors last week but wore masks and kept our distance. My DS and I are traveling this week to LI to see my family. We will be staying with my sister. I want to see my family but this is giving me major anxiety. I know she is cautious like me with social distancing and masks so that helps a bit. My two brothers though are essential workers and I know they have been getting together with other people. If we see them, it will be from afar and I will make everyone wear masks.
