first dentist visit- at what age?
how old was your dc when you first brought them to the dentist?
AND did they have all of their teeth at that time?

I took DS for his first visit at 2 1/2.
He had all of his teeth, although a couple of his 2 year molars were not completely in all the way.
I actually just took him for his 2nd visit a couple of weeks ago.
The dentist didn't do much. I think it's more to just get them used to going there.
She counted his teeth, brushed them for him to show him how to properly brush, she even flossed his teeth!
She checked his overbite.
Then she put a gooey flouride vitamin on his top teeth.
That was it. For both the first and second visits. Not sure when they start doing actual cleanings.

DS is 2 1/2 and we are going to take him soon... not sure if we are really supposed to yet or not, but DH;s faily has horrible teeth, so we want to get him checked out.

My BIL is a dentist and he said when they are old enough to sit still, which is usually around 3 years old.

I work in a dental office. we tell patients around age 3 should be their first visit.

frankie just had his two year visit and she told me to schedule an appointment for him.
