Re: First dr. visit
I was only 5 1/2 weeks at my first visit. They weighed me, took a urine sample, checked my Blood Pressure. I also had a pap done because I had never been to my dr's office before. They gave me the paperwork for going to get my bloodwork done and then gave me an appt to come back the following week for a sono.

Re: First dr. visit
I was about 5 or 6 weeks for my 1st appointment. They weighed me, took my blood pressure, took a urine sample and took about 6 vials of blood.
I went back about 2 weeks later for my first sonogram.
Every doctor is different though, but this was my experience.
Lots of luck to yoU!

Re: First dr. visit
My first one ws at 6 weeks. They did an ultrasound and just sat and spoke to me about what I should/shouldn't be doing! He sent me out for bloodwork! That was it!!

Re: First dr. visit
In addition to what the others have said, depending upon when your last visit was, they may do a pap. The blood tests are both the regular ones and pre-screens for certain genetic things. They may or may not do a sono, some drs. like to wait til they're certain to get a heartbeat- you can sometimes see one @ 6wks, but sometimes not- some drs. hold off til 8 wks to do a sono because they don't want you to get upset if they don't get a heartbeat before that.
