first fever/Shots
Well dd was really fussy and sweating yesterday so I took her temp and it was 100.5. I called the doctor and they told me to give her infant tylenol which I did. It went down and I took her in for a check-up. They didn't find anything else wrong and just told me to keep an eye on the temp that it might be a little virus. She has been so cranky today it just breaks my heart that she is uncomfortable and I can't really help. Anyone experience this? She is 8 weeks.
On another note, I'm supposed to take her for her 2 month check-up on Monday and her first set of shots (depending on how she does over the next few days). I'm so scared and nervous about this that it's keeping me up at night. Can you please tell me what to expect? I know she could get another fever from this. I'm just so worried.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I take Jack for his shots at our next appt. My ped said to check his temperature in the AM that day. If he has a fever, they can't give the shots. Just wanted to let you know to check for that. to you and DD, feel better!!!

Re: first fever/Shots
I just took Molly for her shots. They did two, one in each thigh. She cried when they were done but settled down right away. For the rest of the day, she was off and would be rather cranky when she woke up. However, she did sleep for most of the day and night and was fine today. Some give the babies Tylenol prior to going for the shots; ask your doctor what he thinks about doing that.
I hope she feels better.

Re: first fever/Shots
This is just a little advise...Some Babies start teething in there early months, my sister-in-law did when she was a child and I know a lot of other mom's who's children did as well. I would ask the doctor if it's possible if You're DD could be starting to have her teeth coming up early..Could hurt to ask!! Hope she gets better!!
