First floor framed

The first floor is framed. One of the sheets of plywood delaminated from the storm, but they'll replace that today. It's pretty cool being able to walk through the rooms and get a real sense of how things are going to look... Chat Icon

The wall studs are all sustainably forested, so we're even being green in that aspect, too.... Chat Icon External Image

WOW! It's looking good so far. I didn't realize how much of an extension you were putting on. I love seeing the progression!

Besides all of your rocks, I have a pallet of white, flat stone, and we've been gathering a ton (quite literally) from around the yard... Since I've been finding more stones, my plans for the water feature keep expanding.... Chat Icon Chat Icon Now I might have two streams going into the pond.... even my expanded idea won't really cost very much. Just a few yards of waterproof underlayment and a pump or two. The rocks are free, and my labor is free, too.... Chat Icon

Now I can stand in the "rooms" and see an actual 3D view of where things can go, how far things are from each other, etc. I've done the layout on paper, but it's much different seeing it in person.

Chat Icon well I can't wait to see your finished project. Sounds like it's going to be big. And not to costly. Chat Icon

I am so excited for the 3D view of our house too! I keep on telling people how different it will be to actually see it versus the paper layout.
