36w4d and apparently the baby is REALLY low, and I'm at least 1cm dilated and at least 90% effaced.

My due date is a day before yours.

So, by your post, it looks like you will be earlier, right? What did the doc say?

I have a Dr's appt tomorrow and I will be 36 wks 6 days, so then you are 36 wks 5 days.


Do you feel like the baby is low? Do you feel like the baby dropped?

I thought the baby was low (I feel a little punching or action in my who ha area) and could tell he/she dropped b/c the movement is now lower(used to be up by my ribs and is now belly button level). She didn't necessarily say I'll go early - but she said the effacement and progress is a really good sign I'll have a natural childbirth and that if I continue to progress like this they could induce me before my due date (or not let me go past it). I don't really understand what that means and was too stunned that I'm at this point already that I didn't ask too many questions.

Did you have a growth sono? I had one last week (I know they are not accurate) and they said the baby was 6lbs 3oz.

Do you want the baby to come early?

For me, I really don't, I want these last three weeks to enjoy being with Phil and my friends and just enjoying this lifestyle now. Am I making sense?

But then at times, I am ready, but then I am like no I am not.

How are you feeling overall? Are you pretty comfortable? When is your next appt?

I'm not ready for baby to come b/c we in the midst of construction and right now I have a gutted kitchen and bathroom. It should be functioning and almost done in the next couple of weeks.

I'm def. overwhelmed and could use my last 3 wks but if baby makes an early arrival then I guess it's meant to be!r

I had my growth sono at 32wks and he/she was 4lb5oz - estimated to be high 7's or 8lbs at birth.

My only complaint right now is I have terrible sciatca (I can barely walk yet I'm still doing an hour and a half commute to Manhattan - me in Penn Station limping ever morning is not a pretty sight!) People must think I'm walking around in labor from my yelps of pain.

Oh you poor thing. I can't believe you are commuting like that. Are you able to take some time off before the baby?

One thing we can't control is the baby's arrival!!! He/she will arrive when he/she is ready. For a control freak like me, that has been hard to accept.

Definitely keep us informed, I plan on being on here alot.

I know - I'm trying to hang in there (with the commute) a little longer. Hopefully I'll make it through next week's appt and will be better able to gauge how soon this baby is coming (then I won't worry about going late and missing time with )

Is it strange that I had my 37 week appointment today and I didn't get an internal? Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly dying to get one or anything (being I am still in denial that I have to get this baby OUT), but I thought they may have done one today. Oh well.
